I am a retired U.S. Marine Corps officer and combat veteran. A Master's degree in Russo-Japanese relations that gave me the idea and background for this book. I have published four non-fiction books about Marines at war, a book on politics and one on ocean sailing. I wrote the latter after five years of piloting my small sailboat over 25,000 miles at sea. Bear Against the Sun is my first novel.
